Welcome to Paws to Peaks

I'm James Rowson, a dog behavioural therapist and trainer based in Sheffield. I mainly work in Crookes, Hillsborough, Walkley however I am happy to discuss access to my services across most of Sheffield.

My training methods are ethical and positively reinforced through building a trusting bond and reward. I work in real world scenarios and situations - offering you the tools to address your dogs behavioural issues in the situations they arise such as local parks, busy streets, even the Postman calling. I work on a week by week basis, developed from the ground up, one-to-one with you and your dog. I don't have generic training plans, just a bespoke program designed for you and your dog tailored towards your lifestyle, your dogs breed and behavioural temperament. As I work on session by session basis I don't have long contracts, you can pay as you go for each session or join our monthly payment plan. I have worked with rehomed and rescued dogs, often branded 'reactive' or 'aggressive' and have always found that they have simply been misunderstood. No problem, or paw, is too big or small here at Paws to Peaks.

I offer free introduction visits to you at your home, I'm a strong believer that I need as much of a bond with your dog as you do. It helps me understand your dogs relationship with you and others.

My additional services include home visits and walks for your dog whilst you are at work - these incorporate training and most importantly cuddles and fun!

I am fully insured with Protectivity specialist Pet Business insurance and have studied Pet First Aid and Animal Behaviour Training.

Meet my dogs, Mishka, a Pomsky (Husky/Pomeranian) who is strong and independent. Nanook, a Samoyed, a softy he needs extra focus and attention. I have 20+ years of personal care experience with dogs in my life, all sizes and breeds - no paws are too big or too small here at Paws to Peaks!
